The Hong Kong public healthcare service has long faced a shortage of healthcare workers. And there are two reasons behind it:
- HK PolyU is the only university in Hong Kong that provides courses in Nursing, Radiography and Physiotherapy.
- The medical passing grade is among the highest in Hong Kong education. Unable to meet the requirement is impossible to graduate.
Hong Kong PolyU produces only 60 medical graduates annually.
