Where Will You Study?
Every destination is different. Costs, culture, career outcomes, and visa pathways all vary. We help you cut through the noise and choose the country that fits your goals, your qualifications, and your budget.
Choose Your Country
Mystudy has active programmes in five destinations and is expanding to more. Every country page gives you full details on costs, entry requirements, universities, and visa pathways.
Choosing Your Study Destination
Is it safe for Malaysian students to live and study in Europe?
Ireland, Spain, and France all rank highly on global safety indices and have well-established international student communities. University towns in Ireland (Athlone, Waterford, Limerick) and smaller Spanish cities tend to be quieter and more affordable than capital cities. Malaysian students generally adapt well to European campus life, and Mystudy alumni in each destination can share first-hand experiences during your consultation.
Will my overseas degree be recognised when I return to Malaysia?
Degrees from accredited universities in Ireland, the UK, Australia, Canada, and most EU countries are recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Irish Honours degrees sit on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ Level 8), which aligns with the European Qualifications Framework. We recommend checking MQA's list of recognised institutions before finalising your destination.
Can my family visit me while I am studying abroad?
Yes. Malaysian passport holders can enter Ireland, most EU countries, and the UK for short visits without a visa. Your family can visit during holidays or attend your graduation. Some parents find it reassuring to visit during the first semester to see the campus and accommodation in person.
Do I need to arrange a student visa before leaving Malaysia?
It depends on the destination. For Ireland, Malaysian students do not need a pre-entry visa; you register for your Irish Residence Permit (IRP) after arrival. Other countries such as France and Canada require a visa application before departure. Mystudy guides you through the specific visa process for your chosen destination, including document preparation and appointment booking.
