Mystudy Education Consulting Sdn. Bhd. is the organization who provide education support mainly focus in student mobility and placement. Data collected from student & parents are protected in according to Personal Data Protection Act (Act 709 2012).

What Personal Data We Process?
The University / College needs to process (that is, collect, use, store and ultimately destroy) your personal data for various academic, educational and administrative purposes. Generally, your personal data that we collect and process, includes but not restricted to:

Date of birth
Previous qualification(s)
Personal email address

Sensitive Personal Data

Some of the personal data that we process may include what is defined as 'sensitive personal data' under the Act and these include, but not restricted to:

Race
Religion
Health
Records of misconduct and disciplinary action
Records of criminal offence

This sensitive information shall be treated carefully by MyStudy and will only be used for specific purposes.

It will not be released to a third party without your explicit consent unless it is necessary to protect your interests.

Data is collected with the purpose of:

Advising and process university applications
Responding to queries
Providing updates on university application
Responding to requests where we have a legal or regulatory obligation to do so
Internal record keeping and administration
Improving our products and services
Survey, Market research and promotional purposes.
Conducting and analyzing customer surveys and research development, which may or may not be with anonymized data

Amendment of personal Data:

You may request details of your personal data which MyStudy holds about you under the PDPA, 2010 by sending such request via email to askme@mystudy.my and may also request for the correction, deletion and update of your personal data in the MyStudy's possession, which is incorrect, inaccurate and or incomplete provided always that your personal data under items (vii) and (viii) above shall not be applicable to this statement herein.

Limitation of Data Process

You have the right at any time to request us to limit the processing and use of your Personal Data (for example, requesting us to stop sending you any marketing and promotional materials or contacting you for marketing purposes).

You also have the right, by notice in writing, to inform us on your withdrawal (in full or in part) of your consent given previously to us subject to any applicable legal restrictions, contractual conditions and a reasonable duration of time for the withdrawal of consent to be effected. However, your withdrawal of consent could result in certain legal consequences arising from such withdrawal. In this regard, depending on the extent of your withdrawal of consent for us to process your Personal Data, it may mean that we will not be able to continue with your existing relationship with us and/or the contract that you have with us will have to be terminated.

Sharing Your Personal Information

Mystudy Education Consulting Sdn. Bhd. will keep your personal data confidential unless you have given the written / recorded consent to such disclosure or it is within the ambit of permitted disclosures under prevailing laws / guidelines. MyStudy may disclose your information to the categories of third parties as listed below (not restricted to):

Your university application, with your authority, or as we reasonably consider to be appropriate in the circumstances.
Third parties appointed by MyStudy such as auditors, lawyers, contractors, printing companies, travel agencies, training organiser and insurance companies.
Government or other official agencies to verify you are not on any sanctions lists
Legal obligation where we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply.
With third parties where either we are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers or visitors to the website may be one of the transferred assets.

MyStudy Education Consulting Sdn. Bhd. takes no responsibility for the rejection of universities or institutions application of data subject should cause be of the supply of incorrect or incomplete data.
In the event of any conflict between this English language Personal Data Privacy Policy and its corresponding Bahasa Malaysia Personal Data Privacy Policy, the terms in this English language Personal Data Privacy Policy shall prevail.
